St George Illawarra five-eighth Jamie Soward hasn’t been named for the Dragons after he was a late scratching from last week’s win over Melbourne with back spasms. Matt Cooper is still a couple of weeks away with a hamstring injury, while Beau Scott will miss a week with a groin injury suffered last Friday.

The Dragons breathed new life into their NRL finals hopes with an upset 26-18 victory over Melbourne at WIN Stadium last Friday. Having stormed to an 18-0 lead, the Dragons let in two tries just before half-time but held their nerve to bank a vital two points. The win lifted them to 11th spot on the ladder, equal on points with eighth-placed Gold Coast, Newcastle and West Tigers.
