MISSING IN ACTION: No new injury worries for the Dragons but there is a reshuffle of their side, with Jason Nightingale moving to fullback with Brett Morris going back to the wing. Mitch Rein will start at hooker pushing Nathan Fien to the bench, while the return of Ben Creagh and Beau Scott from Origin duty means Jake Marketo drops back to the bench and Leeson Ah Mau is out of the squad altogether. The Sharks are still without skipper Paul Gallen and back-rower Jeremy Smith through injury but Jason Bukuya, Isaac Gordon and Colin Best are all back in the side after missing Monday night’s match through illness. John Williams and Ricky Leutele are out of the line-up.
FORM: The Dragons come into this one fresh from a bye but have only won two of their last eight games to sit outside the top eight by two points. While sitting seven spots behind their neighbours, they have won five of their last seven matches against Cronulla.
The Sharks continue to firm for their first finals berth in four years, Monday night’s 14-14 draw with the Roosters pushing them into outright third spot on the ladder. They don’t have a promising recent record against the Dragons but do edge the head-to-head meetings 15 to 13.
