MISSING IN ACTION: No major changes for the Panthers with only prop Tim Grant out. Dayne Weston comes into the starting side. It’s a total opposite with the Rabbitohs who have two new wingers with Andrew Everingham and Shaune Corregan replacing Fetuli Talanoa and Chris McQueen. Kiwi international Issac Luke comes into the starting side at hooker, with Nathan Peats dropping to the bench. Livewire Nathan Merritt is still out with a toe injury.
FORM: The Panthers bounced back from their narrow opening round loss to Canterbury by thumping the Roosters. The performance of NSW Origin centre Michael Jennings caught the eye but it was Penrith’s defence – keeping the Roosters scoreless in the 18-0 win – that will most please coach Ivan Cleary. South Sydney may yet to register a win in 2012 but they have played better than their results suggests. The Rabbitohs were beaten on the bell in round one and pushed Melbourne hard last week – tied at 10-10 at half-time – before they were blown away by the Storm’s main man Billy Slater.
